Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our FOU Outpatient department within the Royal Gwent Hospital.

The role will involve delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of nursing practice.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out patient assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Provide prescribed nursing care without direct supervision.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing practice.
  • Act in accordance with the NMC (UKCC) Professional Code of Conduct.
  • Support a clinical environment that is patient and public focused.
  • Assist the Team Leader with managing a patient caseload.
  • Develop an environment that supports the value of nursing care within the T&O setting.
  • Liaise and communicate with members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Commit to assuring the quality of care delivered.
  • Stay up-to-date with current advances in nursing practice.
  • Act as an advocate for patients and their significant others.
  • Maintain accurate records and standards for documentation.
  • Participate in the formal monitoring of standards.
