Project Overview:

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveying Expert to work on behalf of UKPN. This role involves managing the commercial aspects of a portfolio of projects within the power sector.

In this position, you will play a key role in the financial and contractual management of power sector projects, contributing to essential infrastructure and ensuring commercial efficiency across the portfolio.

The responsibilities associated with this position include:

  1. Overseeing the commercial aspects of a portfolio of power sector projects.
  2. Managing contract administration under the NEC form of contract.
  3. Providing accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
  4. Handling subcontractor management, including procurement and payments.
  5. Negotiating and managing variations, claims, and final accounts.
  6. Collaborating with project teams to ensure financial and contractual compliance.

Key Requirements:

To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or equivalent, ideally within the power sector.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
  • Previous experience working on behalf of UKPN is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a hybrid environment.

The estimated salary for this position is around £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
