Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our esteemed academic team at a reputable school in Leicester. The ideal candidate will be able to teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, demonstrating a passion for the subject and a commitment to delivering high-quality education.

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and inspiring them to achieve excellence in mathematics. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding of mathematical concepts.

In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will also contribute to the development of our Maths faculty, working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and promote a culture of excellence within the department.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. A strong commitment to ongoing professional development is also essential, as you will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in maths education and to share your knowledge with others within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, creating engaging lesson plans and assessments that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Contribute to the development of our Maths faculty, working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and promote a culture of excellence within the department.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance, using data to inform teaching practices and improve outcomes.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a proven track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A strong commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in maths education and sharing knowledge with others within the team.
