Deputy Care Home Manager Role in Colchester

Salary: £35,000 per annum.

This is a permanent position with a reputable nursing home in Colchester.

About the Role

As the Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day operations at our care home. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Home Manager in overseeing the provision of high-quality care to residents.

You will oversee the care staff and assume full management responsibilities in the absence of the Home Manager. Through direct instruction and leadership by example, you will support the training and supervision of care staff in their daily tasks.

Your duties will also include assisting the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments of residents, ensuring that each resident's care plan and daily records are accurate and up-to-date, and fostering effective communication with families and external organisations.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Home Manager who possesses excellent interpersonal skills, enabling them to engage effectively with service users and their families. A good working knowledge of CQC standards is essential, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external care professionals and staffing teams.

The ideal candidate will also have the ability to promote ownership of care programs among service users and their families, fully involving them in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care plans.
