About the Role


We are currently seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team and work as part of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team at Royal Bolton Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health assessments, crisis management, and safety planning.



Job Description


The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mental health assessments for children and young people, evaluating emotional, behavioural, and psychological issues. Additionally, they will respond to mental health crises, develop and implement safety plans, and provide follow-up support to ensure the child's mental health needs are being met over time.



Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents
  • Respond to mental health emergencies, including self-harm and suicidal ideation
  • Develop and implement safety plans to protect at-risk individuals
  • Provide ongoing support and monitoring to ensure optimal mental health outcomes


Requirements


To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:



  • Fully enhanced DBS clearance
  • NMC registration
  • Relevant experience working in CAMHS

Estimated Salary Range


The estimated annual salary for this role, based on a 37-hour week, would be approximately £53,856 - £56,928 (inclusive of holiday pay), depending on experience and qualifications.
