Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at KBS Maritime Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the revenue cycle, managing financial transactions, and providing accurate forecasts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the revenue cycle from initial recognition to customer billing, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage financial transactions, including cost allocation, timesheet recording, and accruals/prepayments.
- Prepare accurate forecasts and provide proactive business partnering to ensure timely and insightful financial reporting.
- Deliver end-to-end accounting support for facilities management and construction projects across Portsmouth Naval Base.
- Develop and upskill the existing Projects team, ensuring they have the necessary skills to meet the demands of the role.
Requirements:
- Prior employment experience within the defence sector or construction services (desirable).
- Exposure to preparing management accounting transactions for a complex organisation.
- Demonstrable experience explaining financial results to non-specialists.
- Highly IT literate, proficient in MS Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
- Familiarity with SAP B1 or experience in other complex ERP systems (desired).
- Proven experience in statutory reporting processes, including the provision of information to auditors.
- Qualified CCAB accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
