Warehouse Operative Job Description

As a key member of our CastleView Group team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently receive and store goods inwards, adhering to Amazon's internal processes and procedures, and utilizing radio frequency scanners to optimize inventory management.
  • Pack and ship customer orders with precision, guaranteeing timely delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Pick products accurately, potentially on a multi-level mezzanine or using a high-level picker, to meet customer demands.
Physical Demands:
  • Stand and/or walk throughout the duration of a shift, with standard full-time shifts lasting 10 hours, excluding overtime, flex, and part-time shifts which may vary.
  • Lift and move products up to 23kg in weight, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
  • Perform tasks that require lifting, bending, reaching above the head, kneeling, crouching, and/or stretching during the duration of a shift.
  • Push and pull product up to 23kg in weight during the duration of a shift, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Utilize manual dexterity of both hands and wrists to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Work on a secure mezzanine at a height of between 9 to 12 meters, equivalent to a 3 or 4-storey building, and regularly climb and descend flights of stairs safely.
Compensation and Shifts:

Enjoy a competitive hourly rate of £12.30 for daytime shifts and £14.27 (including a £1.97 Night Shift Allowance) for night time shifts. Overtime hours are paid at £18.45 and £24.60 respectively.

Available shifts include:

  • 30 hours per week (06:00-12:00, 23:45-10:00)
  • Standard shifts: 6am-12pm, 6am-2pm
  • New shifts:
    • 6am-12:30pm (30 hours per week)
    • 12:30pm-8pm (35 hours per week)
    • 4pm-9pm (16 hours per week)
    • 2:30am-11am (40 hours per week)
    • 4pm-11pm (Full-time, 5/7 days, with a requirement to work Mondays)
