Job Title: Multidisciplinary Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Multidisciplinary Engineer to join our team at Hales Jobs. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising production machinery and equipment in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on automated machinery.
• Document all maintenance work using a computerised maintenance management system.
• Provide technical advice and support during breakdowns and improve maintenance practices.
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans to minimise downtime and enhance machinery efficiency.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring team members are trained on new processes.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and food safety regulations, including BRC standards.
• Support continuous improvement projects and the creation of Safe Working Procedures within the Engineering Department.

Ideal Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 multi-skilled apprenticeship (electrically biased).
• Experience working with PLC and SCADA control systems (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Rockwell, Fanuc).
• FMCG experience, ideally within the food sector (desirable).
• Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques is advantageous.
