Lead Data Engineer with Azure Expertise

Cognitive Group | Part of the Focus Cloud Group is seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer with expertise in Azure Data Services and Power BI to join their team.

This is a hybrid/home-based role with a salary of £70,000 - £90,000 p/a + bonus + benefits. The ideal candidate must be eligible for SC Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Synapse).
  • Create, optimize, and manage complex data models, ensuring efficient data flow and high-performance processing.
  • Develop and manage Power BI dashboards, delivering powerful insights and interactive visualizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, integrate data from various sources, and provide technical support.
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance across the Azure platform.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Azure Data Services: Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, etc.
  • Strong proficiency in building and managing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Expertise in SQL and ETL processes.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and data integration.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a passion for optimizing data processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
