Job Title: Band 6 Outreach Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Outreach Nurse Specialist to join our Therapeutic Apheresis Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting lifesaving treatments for patients across the region.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Assess, plan, and deliver apheresis procedures for emergency and elective patients and donors.
  2. Provide safe and compassionate care within a total quality system, upholding clinical standards and ensuring best practice and clinical effectiveness.
  3. Work within a total quality management system approach to maintain nursing practice standards and meet local regulatory frameworks, licenses, and laws.
  4. Establish and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders to support patient-centered care and quality and safety.
  5. Provide clinical support and supervision to less experienced staff and student nurses, and be a source of clinical knowledge and expertise.
  6. Travel and spend time away from base, working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.
Requirements:
  1. Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration (RN1 or RNA) with post-registration experience and a degree in a clinical area.
  2. NMC professional registration (which must be maintained in the role).
  3. Awareness of current issues in nursing.
  4. Valid driving license, allowing you to drive in the UK.
  5. Commitment to own continued professional development (CPD).
