We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at GLG Vets in South Wootton, Norfolk. As part of our dynamic veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional care to animals while working collaboratively with our dedicated team.

Estimated Salary: £58,000 per year

About the Role

As a Veterinary Surgeon at GLG Vets, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality medical services to a diverse range of animals. This will involve performing routine examinations, conducting diagnostic tests, and providing surgical procedures as needed.

You will work closely with our veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries. Additionally, you will provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general animal care, feeding, and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine examinations and diagnostics on various animals
  • Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying and neutering
  • Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff for comprehensive patient care
  • Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on animal care and wellness
  • Maintain accurate records of patient histories and treatments

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognized institution
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Compassionate and caring approach to animals
