About the Role:

Leonardo is seeking a highly skilled RF Systems Engineer to join their team in the development of cutting-edge RF products. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work with industry-leading engineers and contribute to the design and development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop RF systems, including research and development of low Technology Readiness Level (TRL) technologies
  • Investigate and define RF/Communication system architectures and protocols
  • Plan and conduct studies in communication technologies, including SDR, RF, and IP
  • Support system integration and test activities, as well as verification of system requirements
  • Capture stakeholder and system requirements, and model components of the system design

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an RF Engineer, either through industry or advanced academic research
  • Relevant education or deep theoretical knowledge, preferably with experience working with telecommunication Air-Interface specification
  • Attributes include experience with communication systems, modulation techniques, deployed system propagation effects, software-defined radio, and electronics assembly and testing
  • Dominant specialisms in digital signal processing, RF systems, electro-optic systems, medical imaging systems, image processing, multi-sensor data fusion, and real-time data simulation/generation

About You:

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to apply engineering experience effectively, and possess strong analytical and communication skills. Experience working with military and international specifications and standards for EMC, Environmental, and safety is desirable.
