Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Engineering Technologist to join our team at Bakkavor Desserts site in Newark, Nottinghamshire. The successful candidate will conduct planned and predictive maintenance to prevent issues occurring.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned maintenance on processing and packaging equipment.
  • Implement condition-based monitoring of food processing and packaging assets.
  • Respond promptly to any breakdowns.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance or corrective actions to resolve deviations.
  • Detect electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and pneumatics faults and take necessary actions.
  • Support operational teams with machinery change overs and set ups.
  • Manufacture and repair component parts for processing and packaging equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimize assets or processes.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess an engineering apprenticeship and current Edition of IET Wiring Regulations. They should also have knowledge of safety, health, and environmental legislation and procedures, planning works and writing reports, and verifying assets meet performance criteria after work.
