About the Role

We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to support our teaching staff during short-term absences. The successful candidate will have a strong educational background, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise classes during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students complete set tasks and activities.
  • Deliver information provided by the teacher or Head of Department, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents, demonstrating a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • Utilize ICT to support learning, with a willingness to undertake training as needed.

Requirements

  • High standard of education, with a minimum GCSE grade C in English and mathematics (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Recent experience working in a school, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively use ICT to support learning.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies.
