Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MRI assistant to join our Radiology team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with a requirement for rotation between all Radiology departments at our hospital sites.
The role will incorporate a 7-day working week with shifts covering 8am-8pm and 9-5pm. Cover is required 365 days per year.
Main duties will include preparing patients prior to their scans and assisting the patients throughout their time within the department. Maintain an efficient daily worklist through dealing with patient queries, appointments and assisting the Radiographers.

Main Duties of the Job
This post is part of the collaborative initiative of the Community Diagnostic Hub program. Although the successful candidate will be employed by STHFT, there may be an expectation of collaborative working across the Tees Valley in the future should the need be required, however this role is primarily for STHFT MRI services, and the successful candidate will join the MRI rota for STHFT.
Successful candidates will be an employee of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and managed as per the governance arrangements currently in place for Radiology and the organisation.

Leadership and Improvement Training
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers.
After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.

Qualifications
Essential
- Level 1 in Maths and English
- NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare Care or equivalent experience
