About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team at Tesco. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering customer shopping trips in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that customers receive their orders on time and in good condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver customer shopping trips in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that customers receive their orders on time and in good condition.
  • Load and unload merchandise from the van, ensuring that it is properly secured and protected from damage.
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, responding to their queries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Operate a van safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements
  • A valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move merchandise as required.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • A competitive hourly rate starting at £12.92, increasing to £14.05 for stores inside the M25.
  • A minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with opportunities to work additional hours.
