Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations & Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Veolia. As an Operations & Maintenance Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain mobile plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance and recyclate collection.
  • Monitor and control the plant SCADA system, ensuring seamless operation and minimizing downtime.
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks, including equipment, structures, and floors within the Mechanical Pre-Treatment (MPT) area.
  • Assist with supervising contractors and visitors to the site, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety or equipment issues promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Identify and report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Conduct regular equipment checks and basic isolations to ensure staff safety.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving license.
  • Understanding of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Mobile plant license and experience is desirable.
