Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Senior Care Manager to lead a residential children's home in Derby, East Midlands. The successful candidate will oversee the overall management and operation of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, fostering a positive culture, and providing strong leadership to the staff team.

  1. Ensure the highest standards of care and support are maintained across all aspects of the residential children's home.
  2. Lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team of staff, providing supervision, guidance, and support to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
  3. Develop and implement individual care and behaviour plans, along with risk assessments for each child, to effectively meet their needs.
  4. Maintain effective communication with children, families, external agencies, and professionals involved in their care.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
  6. Promote a positive and inclusive environment that values diversity and respects the rights of children and young people.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Senior Care Manager within a residential children's home setting.
  2. Consistent Good or Outstanding Ofsted Judgements
  3. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification)
  4. Sound knowledge of Ofsted legislation, regulations, and best practices in childcare.
  5. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  6. Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
Compensation and Benefits:
  1. £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
  2. Ofsted Judgement bonuses
