Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our network of primary schools across Enfield. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have the chance to work in a variety of primary schools, supporting children with additional needs, including autism and complex needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and group support for children with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their goals.
  • Assist in implementing tailored learning and behaviour plans for pupils with a range of needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Support pupils' emotional and social development, encouraging independence and confidence.
  • Adapt to new settings quickly, bringing energy and a proactive approach to each school you work in.

Requirements

  • Experience in SEN: Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in autism and other complex needs.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a variety of school environments.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Confidence in working closely with staff, pupils, and parents to ensure cohesive support.
  • Compassion and Patience: A nurturing approach to working with children who may face additional challenges.
  • Availability to Choose Your Days: Ideal for those seeking flexible working patterns.
