About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Third Party Risk Oversight Manager to join our Supplier Management Third Party Risk & Oversight Team at M&G plc.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Risk Oversight and Management: Provide risk oversight for the onboarding of new external fund managers, suppliers, and outsourcers, ensuring compliance with our Target Operating Model and Third Party Risk Framework.
  2. Operational Due Diligence: Work closely with various teams to provide oversight and risk considerations for the operational due diligence on new and existing managers and suppliers.
  3. Risk Assessments and Reporting: Ensure that appropriate risk assessments are performed by the relevant third-party management BAU teams and that the operational model is in line with policy.
  4. MI and Governance: Gather, disseminate, and report MI through appropriate governance channels.
  5. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development of process enhancements.
  6. Risk Escalation and Resolution: Act as a point of escalation from a risk oversight perspective for specific operational risk-related queries from external fund managers and respond to and resolve these in a timely manner using SMEs from the business.
  7. Industry and Regulatory Awareness: Stay current with all industry and regulatory developments to ensure that the process adapts over time and remains relevant.
Key Requirements
  1. Knowledge and Experience: Possess knowledge of handling external/outsourced relationships, comfortable interacting with new people, and building relationships.
  2. Analytical and Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and highly numerate abilities, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work both individually and as a team member, with a good understanding of the investment lifecycle across fund management, dealing, and operations.
