We are seeking an exceptional Construction Cost Manager/Project Quantity Surveyor to join our Newcastle Real Estate team.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work on iconic projects across the Northeast, guiding clients and their teams to deliver best value for money.
Key Accountabilities:- Assist in feasibility studies and procurement reports
- Estimate and cost plan, producing and presenting the final cost plan
- Tendering and procuring, including pre-qualification stage management
- Effectively manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes
- Take responsibility for cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate checking and valuation
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to the client
- Contribute to value engineering
- Negotiate and agree final accounts
- Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle
- Ideal: professionally qualified (RICS or similar)
- Degree or HNC level qualification
