Job Description

Spire Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapy Head of Department to lead our physiotherapy team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our physiotherapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective physiotherapy strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage a team of physiotherapists, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest physiotherapy research, best practices, and guidelines to ensure our services are evidence-based and effective.
  • Contribute to the development of our physiotherapy services, including service planning, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to patient safety and data protection.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our quality improvement program.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our physiotherapy team, including mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and collaboration with other departments and teams within Spire Healthcare.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and equipment to ensure our physiotherapy services are delivered using the most effective and efficient methods.
Requirements
  • Registered Physiotherapist with a degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, including mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest physiotherapy research, best practices, and guidelines.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives and the ability to contribute to the development of our quality improvement program.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
