Job Summary:

Cartrefi Cymru Co is a leading provider of support services to individuals with learning disabilities in Wales. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Social Care Team Lead Position. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a team of professionals who provide high-quality support services to our service users.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure a safe and supportive environment for service users and colleagues.
  2. Support the Service Manager in maintaining legislative compliance, Cartrefi's policies, and procedures, while upholding quality standards.
  3. Provide leadership and management to the team, focusing on performance monitoring, supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to deliver person-centred, outcomes-focused support to service users.
  5. Manage the service in the absence of the Service Manager and report to the Area Manager/on-call manager as necessary.
  6. Carry out support duties according to the needs of service users, adhering to the rota, which includes sleep-ins and waking nights when required.
  7. Commit to ongoing professional development, attending training sessions when necessary, and seeking opportunities for growth.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Prior experience supporting adults with learning disabilities in a social care setting.
  • A full clean driving license and willingness to travel for meetings and training.
