Senior Scientist - Molecular Biology

Kenton Black Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist - Molecular Biology to join their team in the North West of England.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented Molecular Biologist to lead the development and validation of molecular assays, including qPCR and dPCR. The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and experience in method development and validation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and validate molecular assays, including qPCR and dPCR, to support the company's research and development activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new molecular assays and techniques.
  • Perform molecular assays using various analytical platforms and develop new techniques as needed.
  • Conduct method validation and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of molecular assays and techniques.
Requirements:
  • PhD or equivalent in Molecular Biology or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in molecular biology, with a strong focus on method development and validation.
  • Experience with qPCR and dPCR assays, including method development and validation.
  • Strong understanding of molecular biology principles and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
