Veterinary Specialist Wanted in Dorset for Locum Equine Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced veterinary specialist to join our team at GLG Vets in Sherborne, Dorset. This locum position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to provide exceptional care to our equine patients in a supportive environment.
This role involves delivering high-quality veterinary care to small animals, diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, and communicating effectively with pet owners. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic, surgical, and medical skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful applicant will work 7 days per week on various shift patterns, including evenings and weekends. In return, we offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, flexible working hours to support a healthy work-life balance, and a supportive and professional working environment with modern facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality veterinary care to equine patients.
- Diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Communicating effectively with pet owners, providing them with guidance on preventive care and treatment plans.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records.
- Collaborating with veterinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Veterinary degree from an accredited institution.
- Current license to practice as a veterinarian in the UK.
- Strong diagnostic, surgical, and medical skills, with experience in small animal care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
