At Castell Howell Foods, we're seeking a dedicated and meticulous Warehouse Maintenance Specialist to join our team at our Cross Hands depot. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the highest standards of facility maintenance.

We're looking for someone with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently, managing their tasks effectively. Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role, preferably in a warehouse or food production environment, is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining appropriate standards for ongoing BRCGS certification and ensuring that the facility remains clean, safe, and compliant with all relevant regulations. This will involve:

  • Accompanying the Technical department on monthly GMP audits and addressing any action points within the allocated timescale;
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the freezer department, including sweeping and scrubbing floors with industrial equipment;
  • Clearing floor areas of debris, rubbish, or empty pallets and cleaning up any spillages;
  • Segregating cardboard and plastic from pick locations for recycling;
  • Emptying and cleaning bins and sanitizing the tea and coffee area;
  • Weekly clearing and cleaning of staff fridge.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling cleaning within areas of the warehouse according to level of priority and reporting any Health and Safety issues that are identified.

We offer a competitive salary of £23,400 per annum, 36 hours per week working a variety of shifts, including weekends. You'll also receive 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, a 5% Company contribution pension scheme, and a range of other benefits.
