About the Role:

Aquarius is seeking a skilled and compassionate Substance Misuse Practitioner to join our NGAGE Young People's Service in Northampton. As a key member of our team, you will provide advice, assessments, and interventions to support young people aged 10-18 who are struggling with drug and alcohol issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide advice to young people and their families
  • Develop and deliver group programmes to support young people in overcoming addiction
  • Work closely with voluntary and statutory agencies to ensure seamless referrals and support
  • Manage a caseload and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • Qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies)
  • Experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care
  • Good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues
  • Ability to collaborate and work professionally with service users, families, and external agencies
  • Flexible approach and commitment to the principles of confidentiality
