About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist to join our vibrant and enthusiastic team at South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust. As a CBT and EMDR Therapist, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based psychological treatments to individuals with common mental health problems, including depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to clients within an NHS Talking Therapies service
  • Work with a variety of client groups and presenting problems, maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems
  • Establish DSM-V diagnoses and clinical formulation
  • Assess and treat people with common mental health problems, of varying severity and complexity, using evidence-based psychological therapies, particularly CBT
  • Collect and monitor routine outcome data

Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996)
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients within an NHS Talking Therapies service
  • Experience of working with a variety of client groups and presenting problems
  • Knowledge of effective care pathway navigation across primary and secondary care psychological therapies services
