About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical engineering discipline on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the single point of authority and accountability for the mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team and work closely with clients' responsible engineering teams.
  • Develop key design deliverables, including Design Proposal Drawings, Mechanical Flow Diagrams, and Detailed Design Drawings.
  • Ensure design deliverables meet high standards and are compliant with relevant standards, regulations, and customer-specific standards.
  • Manage resolutions to technical issues and ensure necessary change control is implemented.
  • Present mechanical engineering designs to clients and key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Chartered Member of the IMechE preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in the nuclear industry or highly regulated industry, with at least 3 years at Senior Engineer level.
  • Detailed knowledge of standards, regulations, codes, and directives.
  • Strong knowledge in the production of Technical Files for new products/plant and equipment.
  • Legally eligible to work in the UK.
