As a Crisis Intervention Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals who are experiencing crisis situations, often stemming from substance misuse, mental health issues, or other vulnerabilities. Your expertise and lived experience will enable you to provide immediate support, de-escalate crises, and connect service users with appropriate resources and services.

Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of recovery from substance misuse, mental health issues, or other vulnerabilities.
  • Lived experience of the criminal justice system, with a minimum of 1 year of stability since last contact.
  • Ability to model appropriate behaviors, maintain clear boundaries, and seek support when needed.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as access to comprehensive training programs, opportunities for career advancement, and a dynamic work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of crisis intervention and the complexities of the recovery journey. They will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, patience, and sensitivity when working with vulnerable populations. A full driving license and access to a car are required for this role, which involves regular travel to various sites across Berkshire.
