Financial Reporting Senior Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Senior to join our team at Curtis Recruitment Limited. As a Financial Reporting Senior, you will play a key role in preparing accounts, business tax computations, and managing projects of larger assignments alongside the audit team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day communications with clients to obtain necessary information and resolve queries in a timely manner
  • Preparation of period-end financial statements for medium-sized companies, consolidated financial statements, and LLPs using the firm's preferred software applications with minimal review points arising
  • Preparation of business tax computations, including adjustments for enhanced expenditure, loans to participators
  • Assist junior team members with the completion of period-end assignments that form part of the consolidated financial statements
  • Work to a timetable agreed by the audit team
  • Ensure regular communication of progress to the audit team to ensure both internal and external deliverables are met
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive data and apply regulatory, legal, professional, and ethical standards
Requirements
  • CA/ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent (first-time passes preferred); nearly qualified candidates will be considered
  • Experience in a similar role within a practice environment
  • Strong grasp of accounting standards and business tax compliance
  • Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills; knowledge of IRIS and MyWorkpapers preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards
  • Up-to-date knowledge of changes to basic tax legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
