This key position requires strategic leadership with extensive experience in the aerospace industry, specifically in MRO processes, regulations, and best practices. The successful candidate will oversee all engineering activities related to aircraft wheels & brakes maintenance, repair, and overhaul.
Responsibilities include defining and implementing the engineering strategy aligned with company goals, providing technical direction and leadership across engineering projects, collaborating with other departments for alignment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (EASA, CAA, TCCA) and industry standards.
Main duties involve integrating cutting-edge technologies into maintenance processes, implementing best practices for reliability, maintainability, and safety in MRO operations, and communicating engineering updates, challenges, and successes to senior management and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should possess a degree-level education in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent NVQ Level qualification, be a Fellow or Chartered Member of an industry-related Professional Body, and have demonstrable experience leading an engineering function with a proven track record in strategic engineering leadership.
