Job Title: People Advisor

The People Advisor plays a pivotal role in the People and Culture team, providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of employee relations, HRIS, recruitment, and retention. This key position supports the delivery of a professional, proactive, and efficient people service, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic advice and support to managers on employee relations issues, including discipline, sickness absence, diversity, capability, grievance, and performance management.
  • Collate and analyze data, producing reports to inform decision-making and contribute to the development of the People strategy.
  • Manage recruitment and selection campaigns, ensuring the most suitable candidates are attracted and retained.
  • Ensure compliance with onboarding requirements and support the audit process for payroll and the people department interface.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of learning and development activities, including staff and management development training.
  • Support key people projects, including recruitment, resourcing, onboarding, reward, performance management, organizational development, and employee engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices, legislative changes, and new developments to continuously develop and improve knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
  • HR experience in a generalist HR advisory capacity.
  • CIPD Part qualified.
  • Experience in assisting on change projects and restructures/re-organisations and TUPE (desirable).
  • Experience of advising managers and heads of service.
