Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancing Solicitor to lead our Conveyancing Team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering business targets, developing new business opportunities, and expanding existing client relationships.

Main Responsibilities:
  • • Meeting and interviewing clients to establish firm’s suitability and cost • Advising clients on law and legal issues • Drafting documents, letters, and contracts tailored to clients’ needs • Negotiating with clients and other professionals • Researching and analysing documents and case law • Supervising the implementation of agreements • Coordinating work of all parties involved • Corresponding with clients and opposing solicitors • Arranging and attending further client meetings • Checking documentation prior to signing • Referring to correct departmental heads • Accepting referrals from other firms of solicitors • Keeping up to date with changes and developments in the law • Identifying and developing new revenue streams


Departmental Management:
  • • Leading and managing the department • Sharing business plan with the team • Holding monthly meetings to review progress • Performance managing team members • Supervising and delegating work • Undertaking annual appraisals • Reviewing attendance and time keeping • Attending weekly review of matters meetings • Administrative duties • Reviewing files and signing off for archiving


Person Specification:
  • • 5 years PQE Solicitor • Microsoft Office with excellent keyboard skills • Knowledge of Legal Secretary’s duties and responsibilities • Proven track record in delivery and attainment of individual and group targets • Evidence of team management • Client Relationships • Knowledge of case management software • Microsoft Office skills • Strong leadership skills • Professional approach to work • Ability to instill client confidence • Demonstrates integrity • Attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent communication skills • Commercial awareness and negotiating skills • Ability to delegate responsibility • Ability to plan and prioritise work • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity • Demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude


This is a challenging role that requires exceptional leadership skills and experience in conveyancing. The salary for this position is estimated at £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
