Job Summary:

Alfanar Projects is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior HSE Coordinator to join our team at our Teesside site. As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, you will provide critical support to our site HSE Manager in ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Support the production of risk assessments, safe systems of work, and incident investigation reports.
  • Collate and analyze HSE data to inform business decisions and improve safety performance.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of HSE activities, including inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Provide training and support to employees on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement HSE initiatives and improve overall safety performance.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in HSE, including industrial site experience.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
