About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team at Omexom UK. As a key member of our Transmission Overhead Line Business Unit, you will be responsible for supporting our operational teams during both tender and implementation stages of projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in transmission overhead line design, with a focus on developing diverse teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the operational teams during tender and implementation stages of projects
  • Develop and lead an 'in-house' design capability to provide design services to UK DNOs and TSOs
  • Support the Business Unit's strategic plan in developing business with new and existing customers
  • Manage design staff in an efficient manner and provide training where necessary
  • Business development with DNOs and TSOs, including prospecting, tendering and delivering design services
  • Represent Omexom UK within the global Omexom engineering network/clubs
  • Review and cascading of current industry standards
  • Promote Safety, Health and Environmental awareness of all design staff
  • Ensure the quality of all design submissions
  • The promotion and enforcement of company procedures to design staff
  • The review of method statements/risk assessments ensuring compliance with Design Documents
  • The development and implementation of new industry software where applicable
