Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our Mathematics department as the Head of Mathematics Department. This is a full-time position that requires a passion for Mathematics and a proven track record of inspiring and motivating students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the Mathematics department, ensuring the delivery of an engaging and effective Mathematics curriculum.
  • Teacher Support: Offer guidance and support to Mathematics teachers, fostering a collaborative and positive teaching culture.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and assess student progress in Mathematics, implementing interventions when necessary to ensure students achieve their full potential.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and curriculum materials.
  • Professional Development: Mentor and support Mathematics teachers in their professional development, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality Mathematics education.
  • Program Contribution: Contribute to the school's Mathematics program and extracurricular activities, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging Mathematics education for all students.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student assessment, attendance, and behavior, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialization in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (preferred).
  • Extensive experience in teaching Mathematics, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in Mathematics education.
