Financial Controller Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Trinity House Group. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our finance function, including business partnering with our Operations teams and providing financial insights to our Private Equity investors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Design and implement robust financial controls and procedures, particularly in relation to management accounts, cash flow, and stock.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and implement regular financial and performance reporting, including monthly management accounts and daily/weekly KPI reporting.
  • ERP Implementation: Scope and implement a new ERP system for the business, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
  • Cash Flow Management: Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage working capital and cash, including overseeing credit control.
  • Financial Planning: Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Statutory Compliance: Oversee the preparation of annual statutory accounts and tax returns by external advisors.
  • Treasury Management: Deliver treasury functions and maintain relationships with our group's bank.
  • Financial Governance: Ensure up-to-date company books and records are maintained.
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified with a recognized accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA).
  • Technically and analytically astute, with high attention to detail.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong systems experience, ideally with experience of using Microsoft AX and implementing an ERP system.
  • A team player and self-starter, attracted by joining a fast-growing business at an early stage.
  • A high level of drive and resilience, able to work in a fast-paced environment and balance a wide and varied workload.
  • A creative thinker who enjoys solving problems.
  • A confident communicator who is happy to challenge.
  • Commercially aware, able to quickly develop an understanding of business drivers.
