We are seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join our team at Integral UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our critical environments, including banking HQ and data centers.
Key Responsibilities- Planned Preventative Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure all building plant, equipment, and systems are functioning optimally.
- Reactive Works: Respond to site engineering emergencies and carry out repairs to building plant, equipment, and systems.
- Installation Works: Undertake minor installation works in accordance with client change management structure and statutory compliance protocols.
- Permit to Work Systems: Ensure that appropriate controls are in place within the Permit to Work systems.
- Critical Cooling Water Systems: Maintain critical cooling water systems and domestic systems to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
- Spares Management: Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of critical and non-critical plant.
- Maintenance Records: Keep comprehensive maintenance records in the form of task sheets, both hard copy and electronically.
- Method Statements and Risk Assessments: Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are adhered to for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
- Engineering Subcontractors: Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately escorted, comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes.
- Client Relationships: Develop a good working relationship with all members of Integral UK and clients' staff.
- Health and Safety: Uphold the provision of a safe and healthy working environment and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures, and working arrangements.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in critical environments such as banking HQ and data centers.
- Qualifications: LV Authorised Person, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or similar, C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds, 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation, C&G 2391 test and inspection, BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing, and certification.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to deal with all levels of staff, proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation, good IT and report writing skills, ability to work under pressure while remaining calm and clear-thinking.
- Overtime: Overtime paid at x1.5 on weekdays and x2 on weekends, plus a day in lieu on bank holidays.
- Standby Rate: £15 per day and £50 on bank holidays.
- Holidays: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata into shifts for shift workers).
