About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at FPR Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical products for the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new products and support existing products in the aerospace industry
  • Analyse customer requirements and prepare 3D models and drawings for manufacture
  • Provide technical support to internal and external teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer needs and company goals

Requirements:

  • Formal education in mechanical engineering or a related field (e.g. HNC, HND, degree)
  • Experience in industry, preferably in a design engineering role
  • Strong understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
