About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Mechanical Equipment Refurbishment Specialist to join our team at Ion Beam Services. As a key member of our refurbishment team, you will be responsible for the refurbishment and testing of advanced semiconductor equipment, including Ion Implantation equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Work within a team refurbishing Ion Implantation Equipment.
  • Perform assembly rebuilds and preventive maintenance on all IBS products.
  • Work from engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals during the installation, debugging, and refurbishment/repair of IBS equipment.
  • Complete standard documentation, procedures, and forms, and comply with all ISO-related procedures and processes.
  • Follow all established cleanroom cleanliness requirements, procedures, and protocols.
Requirements
  • Strong competence in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with the ability to fault-find to component level.
  • Experience in care and inspection of plant, services, and equipment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capability
  • Excellent people skills and ability to influence and communicate effectively
  • Semiconductor equipment/Medical equipment/Capital equipment/Military experience would be beneficial.
  • HNC/degree or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or a closely related subject, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical systems.
