About the Company

AWE Plc is a leading company in the field of electrical networks, and we are currently recruiting for an experienced Network Area Specialist to join our team.

As an Electrical Network Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the authority to operate requirements for your Network Area and managing natural resource use across your network areas.

You will be supporting the Senior Network Manager in managing the Utilities Network Area, ensuring a 24/7/365 operational delivery service and minimising business impact of plant failures.

This role involves liaising with stakeholders, promoting high personal standards in environment and health and safety, and ensuring operators/residents work within Safe Operating Boundaries (SOB).

You will also have line management responsibility for 3 Senior Engineers and will be required to manage plant failures and deliver under pressure.

About the Role:

  • Maintaining ATO requirements for your Network Area
  • Managing natural resource use across your network areas
  • Supporting the Senior Network Manager in managing the Utilities Network Area
  • Liaising with stakeholders to promote high personal standards in EHS
  • Ensuring operators/residents work within SOB
  • Line management responsibility for 3 Senior Engineers
  • Managing plant failures and delivering under pressure

Requirements:

  • Technician Based Apprenticeship / NVQ4 qualification
  • Project experience
  • Additional qualifications specific to the Network area
  • Fully conversant with Network plant, government energy policies & strategies
  • Ability to manage plant failures and deliver under pressure
  • Experience of Management of operational plant & teams
  • Experience of Leading teams to deliver across assets of varying age, understanding failure modes and risk to safely maximise asset use
  • Capable of engaging with regulatory bodies and hosting audits
