About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for procuring products for our Beer52 and Wine52 subscriptions, as well as seasonal and special boxes. You will work closely with our experienced buying leaders to deliver high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Curation: Collaborate with senior buyers to curate high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.
  • Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Identify and capitalize on opportunities for monthly themes and direct brewery purchases, as well as assess market trends to inform our product offerings.
  • Negotiation and Cost Management: Negotiate costs with suppliers to ensure we are getting the best prices for our products, while also managing purchasing terms to drive cost savings and margin improvements.
  • Administration and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of product descriptions, costs, and purchasing terms to ensure company-wide visibility and transparency of purchasing activities.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure a smooth and efficient procurement process.
  • Quality Assurance and Technical Support: Organize and administer quality testing processes to ensure our products meet our high standards, and monitor and review product performance to address any issues.

Requirements

  • Commercial and/or Procurement Experience: Proven experience in commercial or procurement roles, ideally in the drinks or similar industry.
  • Commercial Skills: Strong commercial skills, including negotiation and cost management.
  • Administration and Documentation: Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and ensure company-wide visibility.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Quality Assurance and Technical Support: Ability to organize and administer quality testing processes and monitor product performance.
