Key Responsibilities

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering assessment and therapy services to children in local schools. This will involve travelling to different schools throughout the day to provide support to multiple children.

Assessment and Planning

During assessments, you will identify the speech and communication difficulties of each child through observation and testing. You will then use this information to plan and develop appropriate therapeutic interventions in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Communication and Reporting

You will need to liaise with schools, parents, and The Owl Centre team regarding any findings and progress made with each child. This will involve writing and uploading case notes and reports in a timely manner to the relevant system(s).

Requirements
  • An accredited Speech and Language Therapy degree
  • HCPC registration
  • At least 1 year's experience as a Speech and Language Therapist (post-competency)
  • Able to travel for appointments
