Category Insights Manager

Barclay Meade is seeking a Category Insights Manager to drive category management and commercial strategies. The successful candidate will have experience in data analysis, insights, and storytelling, ideally within an FMCG or customer-centric environment. They will work closely with procurement, sales, category management, and commercial teams to drive strategic vision and direction of category/product strategies, maximizing revenue and profitability for the business and customers. The Category Insights Manager will utilize financial, sales, category, and consumer/shopper insights to tell a story of the market, helping to grow business and customer sales. Key responsibilities include customer relationship management, delivering recommendations for range, space, and merchandising layouts, supporting category managers and commercial managers with project and NPD opportunities, and identifying category opportunities. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an insights or category-related role within food, FMCG, or retail, with experience working with customers in the retail industry and building relationships. They will be able to analyze data and trends from various sources and have a strong understanding of stakeholder needs.
