Colchester, Essex, United Kingdom East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Exciting opportunities have arisen for Clinical Fellows in Anaesthesia at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, a leading healthcare provider serving a population of over 800,000 residents. As we embark on a new era of hospital expansion with the opening of the £64million Dame Clare Marx Building (DCMB) in October 2024, we are seeking talented anaesthetists to join our team.

We are particularly well-suited for anaesthetists who have completed Core Training and are looking to develop their portfolios in preparation for an ST4 application. The successful applicants will all be expected to undertake supervised Quality Improvement projects in areas of their interest and to develop protocols and pathways that support the ESEOC.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility, with weekly protected time built-in to enable fellows to undertake projects and non-clinical activity. Our Clinical Fellows will be supported to undertake fellowship examinations and to develop their CVs.

The post holders will be based in the DCMB at all times and will not be expected to contribute to other on-call rotas, except in extenuating circumstances. Responsibilities will include the supervision of junior staff, teaching, training, and participation in departmental governance and quality improvement meetings.

As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality care, we offer a comprehensive range of benefits, including:

  • A competitive salary package of approximately £40,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Access to the latest medical technology and equipment

Full GMC registration with a license to practice
Passed Royal College Initial Assessment of Anaesthetic Competency (IAC)
