We are seeking a highly skilled Rheumatology Specialist Nurse to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering expert care to patients with rheumatology conditions across our Trust.

The post involves the assessment, monitoring, and treatment provision for patients with inflammatory diseases, including the care of patients who require disease-modifying anti-rheumatic medications, biologic therapies, and care of patients with osteoporosis.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in band 5/6 and previous teaching/mentoring experience. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to utilise Office software including Word and Excel.

The post requires the ability to work collaboratively as part of a small, friendly multi-disciplinary team, with a focus on providing holistic, evidence-based, and cost-effective care.

Main Duties of the Job

The main duties of the post include medication counselling, assessment of disease in nurse-led clinics, drug monitoring database, osteoporosis clinics, as well as administering intravenous and subcutaneous medications.

The successful candidate will also be required to undertake further study for patients receiving chemotherapy for non-malignant conditions, as well as a non-medical prescribing course.
