Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Cranborne, Dorset. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students aged 11-16 who have special educational needs, including Autism and related conditions.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide academic and practical support across the classroom and outdoor settings such as Bushcraft and life skills activities. Your role will be diverse, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to each student's educational journey and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to provide tailored support to students
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
  • Help students meet their Education and Healthcare Plan (EHCP) goals
  • Apply positive behaviour management techniques suited to individual needs
  • Accurately document incidents, accidents, and health and safety details
  • Foster positive social engagement and encourage group participation
