We are seeking a skilled Clinical Fellow to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). This exciting opportunity allows you to combine your passion for Emergency Medicine with a specialist interest in Paediatrics, while developing your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be based in the adult Emergency Department, working alongside our experienced team to provide high-quality patient care. With 80% of their time dedicated to emergency medicine and 20% focused on developing their specialist interest, this role offers an ideal balance of clinical challenge and personal growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- To assess, resuscitate, and stabilise acutely sick patients, exercising sound clinical judgement and adhering to best practice guidelines.
- To participate as a key member of the cardiac arrest team, contributing to the development and implementation of effective resuscitation strategies.
- To develop and maintain advanced life support skills, staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and protocols.
- To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- Able to demonstrate strong clinical skills, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute presentations.
- Demonstrated experience in critical care settings, preferably within the British healthcare system.
- Advanced Life Support certification and previous experience in cardiac arrest scenarios.
- Specialist Interest intent and evidence of commitment to ongoing professional development.
