Job Description

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Child Development Specialist to join our Educational Psychology Service (EPS). The successful candidate will work closely with schools, families, and other stakeholders to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families across the county.

About the EPS

The EPS is a community-focused service that strives for inclusion by removing barriers. We have developed innovative ways of delivering support to parents/carers, children/young people, schools, and other settings, increasing the use of consultation, and continue to focus on gaining positive outcomes for Warwickshire's children, young people, and families.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing evidence-based interventions to support children and young people's learning and well-being;
  • Collaborating with schools, families, and other stakeholders to identify needs and develop solutions;
  • Conducting assessments, developing reports, and providing recommendations to support children and young people's progress;
  • Contributing to the development of policies, procedures, and practices that promote inclusive and equitable education;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on progress as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Educational Psychology or a related field;
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Educational Psychologist;
  • Proven experience of working with children, young people, and families in an educational setting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • An enhanced DBS check.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is circa £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a generous pension scheme, agile working arrangements, and access to a range of benefits and discounts platform.
